KOUTS SOCCER CLUB 
PLAYER’S CODE OF ETHICS

A player participating in the Kouts Soccer Club  shall be afforded a positive, safe, and FUN! No exceptions. You are the most important part in any SAY program. You are the primary reason the program exists. Any violation of this code of conduct may result in disciplinary action from the SAY Area and/or District.

The following CODE OF ETHICS AND BEHAVIOR is offered here to exemplify the ideal Kouts Soccer Club Player

I WILL:

• Work toward understanding the laws of the game. 

• Abide by the laws of the game and the SAY rules. 

• Always respect my coach(es).

• Demonstrate inclusive behavior, support all team members, and accept diversity in all forms.

• Encourage my teammates in a positive manner.

• Be humble.

• Treat the referee with respect, no matter what the call is.

• Exhibit exemplary conduct at both practices and games.

• Will demonstrate required attendance at practices and games. 

• Set an example of good sportsmanship. 

• Will represent Kouts Soccer Club positively by being respectful of property, equipment, and people while being a guest at away games  

• Will clean up my own garbage and be respectful of soccer property and equipment

• Understand it is not just about making the goal, its about how I made the goal.

• Welcome feedback from my coach(es). 

• Understand reporting obligations. Report and suspected child abuse to the center for SafeSport and local law enforcement. 

I WILL NOT: 

• Use or possess illegal drugs, alcohol, tobacco or vape products at SAY events.

• Use social media in a way that is harmful to others. 

• Use profanity or vulgar language. 

• Leave garbage behind, or not clean up my area before leaving

• Bully, harass or haze other teammates or opposing teams.
